Default Anti-Virus software?

What anti-virus software do you use for Linux? I noticed the AVG now has a free version for Linux and I've seen Clam AV used before. I've never installed an anti-virus software before though and I've never had a virus on Linux.

I have none installed on my machines now but thought about putting Clam AV on. I didn't realize that AVG offered a free version for Linux as well. I will have to check that out.

IF there is a free AVG edition for linux, then get it. That is probably the best anti-virus I have had yet.

I've always used Clam AV. Works well and is free for non business use.

Does Clam AV have updated definitions? This seems to be the most common version for Linux.

I have used Clam AV as well, works pretty good. I don't think I would need an AV program under Linux, though.

I think it does have. But you could get the packages and try it out. But it should get the latest definitions.

It seems that Clam AV is "manual" only. There is no on access scanning.

I don't think you need an anti-virus software for Linux
