Exclamation Linux Thanks Microsoft - wow!

Okay, technically this news is about Microsoft, but wow, what an impact for linux users if they jump on this opportunity. Could this possibly be right? Microsoft is ending "easy access to XP" as of 6/30 ? Wow. That IS news for the linux OS. People haven't converted over to VISTA yet. Actually, a LOT of people haven't converted. At my university there is still very little official support for Vista. Wow. Time to get everyone switched over to linux desktops ASAP. Edge in on that market! :-)

But is that really doable?

Excellent article! I'm going to post this on CodeCall as well. I love this:

It also helps that Microsoft has decided to go ahead and dump XP, the operating system its customers want, no matter how loudly they say they want to keep buying XP. Now that's showing your customers how much you really care about what they want.

Maybe this is what we need to boost the Linux community. If MS doesn't offer an option I think it Linux will be an alternative.

Nah... the same happened with XP, everyone was crazy because XP wasn't so good at first, but then everyone fell in love... if they are forced.. they will convert to Vista and will fall in love.
