I tried to do this once when my good old friend XaNaX gave me my first good video card for my 512 MB Compaq with a Integrated video card that made my eyes bleed. I believe he gave me a Radeon 9600, if I remember correctly. I was running Ubuntu 7.10 and I never got the second monitor ( my TV ) to work.

lol, I don't think his eyes really did bleed. Why could you not get it to work and how long ago was it?

I had that Radeon 9600, it's not much of a video card! But I beleive it does support dual monitors.
