Try this: http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/opsys/linux/L...nux-sound.html

Note* I did not have to recompile my kernel so check before you do!

Ow dam it! My sound card is Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM)

Now that I'm thinking, neither Windows detects my sound card!! I have to install the drivers on Windows, now on Linux do I need any special drivers for linux? or what?

Thanks!

Well I think, yes you do need some sort of drivers.. but I think that Linux should be able to detect sound on it's own..no? Althought when using FreeSpire I did have some sound issues, but in general it worked.
