Exclamation Most Popular Linux OS Distros

I've tried to compile a list of the most popular Linux OS *desktop* distros that I found here and other websites. I have tried to list them in popularity in descending order, ie from most popular to least, though they make up the most popular Linux ditros.
  • Ubuntu
  • Kubuntu
  • Xubuntu
  • PC Linux OS
  • Sabayon
  • ForeSight Linux
I hope that helps you guys in making your decision of what Linux OS to choose, as well as gives you guys as selection of what to choose from, though there are many more distros I am sure.

I agree with these lists. Every Linux website out there is raving about Ubuntu.

Yeah. I tried it, it's nothing special. At first I loved it but started hating it.. the installation was buggy, etc..

Freespire is Linspire (Lindows) "free" edition - and yes it is buggy - funny for something that was supposively based on Debian..

The 1.5 version had many bugs and the installation process was a real pain, the 2.0 is a little better. But for sure I don't want that as my main os.

I like openSUSE and PCLinuxOS a lot. Ubuntu is on the list as well.
