Question Overclocking with Linux?

Hello.

I just had to ask this in relation to my Linux vs. Windows speed test thread.

Is it possible to overclock CPUs and RAM with Linux? Does it prove to be stable? Are there any software recommendations to do this?

Thank you!

Overclocking is done via hardware, not software. So yes, it is possible to overclock in Linux. I haven't done it but I would assume it is just as stable, if not more so, than Linux.
