Well, I saw another thread in this forum, and I remembered about the apt-get application. I want to install it, how can I do that?

You have to have Debian Linux to use it. There is also up2date (redhat) and yum (redhat, SUSE). I don't believe apt-get will work with other distribution types that do not use the .deb package manager.

Isn't there a way to run deb packages in other distros aside from debian?

I don't think so..
It's a shame though, your are still using Linux, but not all distros are compatible with each other...
