Default ATI Catalyst

There was an update for ATI so I downloaded and installed it. Now, when I boot into Linux and try to activate Compiz Fusion all of my applications loose their title bar. I try to activate ATI Catalyst and get this error:

Code:
$ amdcccle
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
  Extension:    143 (Uknown extension)
  Minor opcode: 5 (Unknown request)
  Resource id:  0x4800001
Segmentation fault
Any ideas how to fix this error or what it means?

I use Ubuntu 8.04 and there is a program called ENVY that automatically installs the latest ATI drivers. I don't have any problems at all and works out of the box.
Search for some program that can help installing the drivers automatically.

Do you have any problems with your ATI card in Linux?

Nope, it runs flawlessly. I think there is something messed up with your drivers, try reinstalling them.
