Most of their functionality is of course how they're downloading torrent-files, but also extra features which may help the user. Also, you're not "just downloading" torrent-files. It's complicated to do so. If you want to know more about it, I think you shall find the BitTorrent specifications.
And no, they're not searching in the same "database." When you're searching for torrent-files, you're searching on so-called trackers. That's websites which stores the torrent-files. The torrent-files themselves contain information about where to download the content. |
