Help me with my firewall

What will be a better one firewall I can download and use for free, that will come with my windows xp and won't slow it down?

I have Shaw cable and they have a firewall/virus scanner/spyware scanner thing for Window users, it was free when they brought it out but I dunno about now, so maybe check with your Internet provider to see if they offer something similar.

For my machine I use GuardDog.
