It's not much hassle, I disabled that option in the first 24 hours of using Vista. So far I didn't find any incompatibility issues, and contrary to XP, Vista never rebooted or completely froze one me.

Linux is for more programmer-oriented types. Average people are too accustomed to Windows to change.

You're exactly right. Upgrading from XP is a complete nightmare, and many people I know have reverted back to XP due to the problems it causes. Others, on the one hand, have said that they actually like it on new machines. I'm on XP right now, but I am working on a migration to Linux. We'll see how that goes, though. I still have a lot of reading to do.

That's crazy, reverting back to XP once you pay hundreds for Vista. Well, I guess money doesn't matter if the product you get doesn't work as the original.

its not so bad ... i think microsoft it trying to make vista more user friendly ... (like MAC OS).

They failed in a lot of things with Vista. Vista is a big black eye for MS right now.
