I don't think the MS police will be searching a Linux forum for illegal copies of their software anyway. I doubt they even care.

At this point I'm all about Linux and don't have any plans to buy Vista.

Microsoft may bust you for downloading an illegal copy. They always seem to know in their updates if you have a legal copy or not.

I bought a laptop that already had vista on it. I actually tried to install XP instead, but my hardware is Vista Compliant, and most of the drivers available for my hardware won't work with XP. Vista is a mess. It eats up so much of our system's resources and really doesn't do all that much to warrant it. I am actually trying to find a laptop that I can get XP onto. It seems like this Vista Compliant hardware is becoming more and more popular. I think Bill Gates is trying to take over the planet.

Ha ha nobody has said yes. I would never purchase Vista, it's hundreds of dollars and XP works fine and in many cases better.

Ahh, we finally have a yes. When I get a new computer I'm sure it'll have Vista on it.

Well, personally after installing Vista and downloading updates, it's quite ok.

At first I didn't like it. But now, after some months, I am liking it, and personally.... I will not revert back to XP.

Wow, so it's actually working out. I guess the updates fixed the bugs so then it would be better.
