DVDs in Linux?

I noticed DVDs listed in the description of this section, and I wondered if there's anything about the Linux OS that is beneficial to playing DVDs, as opposed to using Windows?

In my Windows DVDs players, I've had a little trouble navigating through the menus.

I honestly don't think there's a deeper meaning with "DVD's in Linux" listed in the description. I think Jordan has been thinking about burning, and how to burn to CD's, DVD's and so on, on Linux. I could be wrong. I'm sure Jordan will come by, and give us both the right reason why.

I think DVD's can be played on both systems with similar success, no advantage whatsoever.

yeah but with which player is would work fine and more superbly that is the question i think he asked us all..

DVD's seem to run well on Linux - just as well as on Windows. I don't think there is any benefit in either.

Well, I watch DVD's on VLC on Windows, so if you download VLC on Linux, you will have pretty much the same experience on both OSes.

Doesn't Linux have any default DVD Player?

It depends on the distro. There are a few available.
