Question Pc-bsd?

Hello.

I was just wondering if anyone here has tried PC-BSD? It's basically FreeBSD for desktop computers.

I wonder if there is some way I can use it on my Windows Vista computer, like dual-boot it? If you have any suggestions or solutions to how I can try it, let me know so I can post results.

Share your experience though if you have ever used it.

I've never tried PC-BSD (nor any other *BSDs), but I know you can use GRUB, if you want dual-booting. I'm sure there's many guides you can use around on the internet, if you can't get it working yourself.

I tried a BSD once (FreeBSD) but it would not install properly. I was using it in a vmware session though. I've also never heard of PC-BSD. Might give it a try.

I used FreeBSD on my Intel Celeron server before. It was an amazing OS and my server ran very fast and efficiently. I would definitely recommend it for older processors; I don't think I could have gotten the performance that I got out of my server if I ran a Linux OS.

Just wondering what PC-BSD would be like, since it's basically a desktop OS of FreeBSD.
